Craftsy Quilt As You Go Hotpad

I started the Craftsy class: Quilt-As-You- Go Patchwork Bags, with Tara Rebman. For link click Craftsy button on the right hand side of blog .  The first lesson is making a hot pad. How fun to use up scraps  for this easy project.

Definitely need to remember these for quick gifts.

I tried not to think or coordinate which fabric to use next. Just used the piece that fit the area.

Organizing the Sewing Room

Worked on organizing  sewing room over the last couple of weekends.
Went through quilting stash, decided what to keep and what to throw out. The fabric to keep, was divide into groups: Fat quarters /yardage between 1-2 yards/backing.  Etc…

Before Photo's

Then organized the fabric by colors.  Ironed ALL the fabric refolding.
In order to get more space.

Taking advantage of wall space. We purchased shelves from Lowe's
and placed them above two dressers .  I can now see all the quilt fabric nothing hidden in bins or boxes.

Love  all the table space and I can open the second table for more work space.

Don’t know what I would do without the design wall my husband put up for me.  We covered the insulation boards with a king size flannel sheet.

Here are some more photo's. Wow feels like a new sewing studio.
