Mystery Quilt: Easy Street Clue # 5

Over 64 Units completed this weekend for the Bonnie Hunter: Easy Street Mystery Quilt. It is fun to see how  other Easy Street quilters are playing around with their block arrangements. Wonder what the odds are someone gets the quilt pattern correct ?  






 Yesterday, Finally finished a pair of socks I started this summer. The socks were put on back burner during the long hot summer, countless days over 100 degree . 



 2 Skeins Patons Kroy Sock fx Yarn: size 1 1/2 US needles.

Mystery Shawl Completed



Another shawl completed this year, a mystery knit along. Like the mystery quilting project (Easy Street)  the clues are posted each week. I liked this pattern from Jen Lucas Designs  it includes both lace and cables. 




 Using up stash yarn: 2 Skeins of Deborah Norville Collection Serenity Sock Weight



 Wing span 52 inches and middle width 17.5 inches after blocking. Color: Lavender Topaz


 Hard to see in photo's colors are lavender and gray.

Mystery Quilt: Easy Street Clue # 4

All the  145 green pieces cut with a few extra's




 New set of Flying geese Purple with Turquoise  

Flying geese Purple and turquoise  sewn together with Clue #3 the Purple and Black on white flying geese. 


At this time I still need to trim up the above units to 3 1/2 inches.

2012 Rachel's Quilts Completed This Year


 1st quilt  made on point 
 Since her birthday is in July wanted the red & blue colors. Also wanted to make a "girlie" quilt. 



Found: Princess Ballerinas by Elizabeth Studios



The quilt is draped over a queen size bed, however would fit a full bed better. 
Quilted in the ditch & Pink minky fabric on the back.

Crochet Blanket's Today and From the Past

 Using left over yarn crocheted a large granny square blanket

 Double crochet and two double crochets in the corners


Certainly different colors and style used for the above blanket compared to the crochet blanket below from the 60's from my  mother in law's belongings.

Quilt with leftover fabric




This is my snuggle up quilt for the colder weather.
Made up of fabric both from years gone by and new fabric. The blocks are also older and new blocks.
It's a lap quilt with a bright green minky backing




 Colors:  Varies Beige's, Browns, greens, tangerine. Quilted by me using stitch in the ditch.
